The Scientific Committee of the 4th Congress of Orthopaedists and Traumatologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina announces the Call for Abstract Submission and invites all clinicians, researchers, educators, and students to share their scientific, clinical, and educational achievements. The Congress provides a unique platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of relevant research, and advancement of practice in the field of orthopaedics and traumatology.

  • Abstract submission deadline: September 1, 2026
  • Notification of abstract acceptance: to be announced at www.orto-trauma2026.ba

Authors are kindly requested to adhere to the stated deadlines — abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be considered.


Instructions for Abstract Preparation and Formatting Abstract

The following general rules apply to all authors, in accordance with similar international and regional professional meetings:

  1. Language: The abstract may be prepared in one of the official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina or in English.
  2. Length: Maximum 300 words (excluding figures and tables).
  3. Layout and format:
    • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt
    • Line spacing: 1.5
  4. Structure: The abstract must be structured and include the following sections (except in the case of a case report):
    • Introduction
    • Objective
    • Materials and Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion
    • Keywords
  5. Title:
    • In capital letters, bold, 12 pt, Times New Roman.
  6. Authors:
    • Provide the full surname and the initial of the first name of each author and co-author (without academic titles).
    • Underline and bold the presenting author’s name.
  7. Author affiliations:
    • On a new line after the authors, state the institution(s), city, postal code, and country.
  8. Keywords:
    • Maximum of four keywords.
  9. Abbreviations:
    • Use standard abbreviations; uncommon abbreviations must be defined in parentheses at first mention.
  10. Originality:
  • Abstracts must be original.
  • To preserve academic integrity, submitted abstracts may be checked using AI-generated content detection tools.
  • The author is responsible for linguistic and grammatical accuracy; abstracts will not be proofread by the organizers.
  1. Accepted formats:
  • Abstracts sent by fax will not be accepted.

Abstracts may be submitted in one of the following ways:

  • Via the online submission form:

  • Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in the Book of Proceedings.
  • Presentations may be oral or poster, as determined by the Scientific Committee.
  • Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified in due course regarding further steps, including presentation duration and technical requirements.
  • In the case of multicentre studies, clearly indicate the role of each centre and co-authorship.
